KW Suncoast - Jack Kelly

С кем вы будете работать

For more than 30 years, Jack Kelly built his career in corporate America and as a licensed contractor before bringing that experience into residential real estate. Today, he combines his real estate expertise, business experience, and understanding of property improvements to help seniors, families, and the professionals who serve them navigate one of the most important—and often overlooked—parts of life's transitions: real estate.

As a Certified Real Estate Planner, Jack looks beyond the transaction. He helps clients and their professional advisors determine what role real estate should play as circumstances change—whether that means staying in the home, modifying it for aging in place, downsizing, moving to a senior living community, selling an inherited property, navigating probate, or considering strategies for preserving and transferring wealth.

Jack's approach is particularly valuable when a senior's housing needs change. A move to assisted living or another senior community may solve the immediate housing challenge, but it often creates a much larger question for the family:

“What are we going to do with the house?”

Jack helps families answer that question as part of a larger plan rather than treating the property as simply another real estate transaction. His professional designations and areas of specialization include Certified Real Estate Planner, Senior Real Estate Specialist®, Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, Certified Probate Specialist, 1031 Exchange Specialist, and Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) Specialist.

His background as a licensed contractor also provides a practical perspective when determining whether a property should be repaired, modified, prepared for sale, or sold in its current condition.

Jack works closely with seniors, adult children, attorneys, financial professionals, CPAs, healthcare professionals, care managers, and senior living communities. His objective is simple:

To make sure the real estate is considered as an important part of the overall plan—not as an afterthought.

Jack serves clients and professional partners throughout the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia and the Northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, including the Martinsburg and Winchester areas.

His philosophy

“Real estate is often the largest asset a person owns. When life changes, the real estate plan may need to change too.”

Обо мне

A Seniors Real Estate Advocate (SREA) focuses specifically on the unique needs and challenges seniors and their families face when making real estate decisions. While both a general Realtor® and a Seniors Real Estate Advocate have broad expertise, an SREA offers targeted benefits, including:
1.  Specialized Knowledge: They understand the emotional, financial, and logistical complexities of downsizing, relocating, or aging in place. They may also have expertise in senior housing options, independent living, assisted living, and many of the available options that might be suitable.
2.  Holistic Approach: SREAs often collaborate with a network of professionals, including financial advisors, estate planners, and elder care specialists, to provide comprehensive support beyond the transaction.
3.  Empathy and Patience: Working with seniors requires sensitivity, understanding, and the ability to navigate family dynamics. SREAs are trained to approach these situations with compassion.
4.  Reduced Stress: They handle the details to ensure a smooth transition, from decluttering and organizing moves to coordinating estate sales or home modifications.
5.  Advocacy: SREAs prioritize the senior's best interests, ensuring they make informed decisions tailored to their long-term well-being and lifestyle.
While both can provide excellent service, an SREA is better suited for seniors needing personalized guidance and support tailored to this stage of life.
A Seniors Real Estate Advocate should be brought into the discussion early to offer insight, guidance, and options that may not be immediately evident. Their expertise allows them to identify opportunities and solutions that align with a senior's unique circumstances, goals, and lifestyle preferences. By engaging a Seniors Real Estate Advocate early in the process, families can benefit from a more informed, thoughtful approach to decisions about housing, financial planning, and long-term well-being. This ensures that all available options are carefully considered, reducing stress and leading to outcomes that better meet the needs of seniors and their loved ones.
